Technical details

• Archived AN565 revision 7 (13 March 1996) identifies AN565CC632H6 as a headless set screw with a full-dog point and hexagon socket, with #6-32 UNC Class 3A threads.
• The first C selects Type C full-dog point; the following C selects corrosion-resistant steel. H selects a hexagon socket. The 6-6 table row gives 3/8 in length, with +/- .010 in tolerance.
• The drawing specifies passivation to QQ-P-35 for corrosion-resistant steel. For the #6 hexagon socket, dimension F across flats is .0625-.0635 in.
• Type C full-dog point is among the styles marked inactive for design in this revision. No specific supplied steel grade, interchangeability or current lot test result is inferred.
• These are dated design requirements. Current supplied-lot conformity, certification and installation approval are unverified.
