Technical details

• Archived AN507 revision 6 (21 April 1967) specifies a 100-degree flat-head machine screw. Code 832 identifies #8-32 UNC Class 2A threads, and R selects a recessed head.
• The drawing permits additional lengths in 1/4 in increments using the corresponding length code. Code 44 denotes 2.750 in, independently corroborated for the complete AN507-832R44 designation in DLA NIIN 001740716.
• The uncoded material is carbon steel, with cadmium plating to QQ-P-416, Type I, Class 3. For lengths over 2 in, the drawing requires at least 1.750 in of complete thread.
• The retained drawing is marked canceled after 21 April 1967 and directs new design and engineering use to MS24693; it does not certify interchangeability of a supplied part.
• These are dated design requirements. Current supplied-lot conformity, certification and installation approval are unverified.
